Anti-Ragging Policy

Supreme
Court Verdict (2007) Ragging is a criminal offence as per the Supreme Court verdict. Ragging is an offence under Indian Penal Code. As per Supreme Court verdict ragging is defined as:
Dr. Ajit Bhand - 0755-4092336 In the case of any ragging incident, the students may immediately call and bring it to the above persons notice for necessary help, guidance and actions.
Complying with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the following Anti-ragging committee and squad is formed for overseeing the implementation of the provisions of the Anti-ragging Verdict. 1. Dr. Ravi Shankar Singh (Convener) 2. Dr. Deepak Chopra (Member) 3. Dr. Vimlesh Kumar (Member) 4. Dr. R. Mahalakshmi (Member) 5. Dr. K. V. Adarsh (Member) 6. Dr. Alakesh Bisai (Member) 7. Dr. Ramya Sunder Raman (Member) 8. Mr. K. V. Satya Murty (Member) 9. Dr. Pavan Saini (Member Secretary) Responsibilities : This committee comprising faculty and administrators will monitor the measures taken by the Institute for prevention of ragging, will look into the specific instances of ragging and complaints of ragging; and suggest appropriate action / punishment against individuals who indulge in ragging.
